I did some heavy front squats yesterday morning along with lunges, and plyometrics and then an afternoon intervals run totaling 4.50miles. Needless to say my legs were a bit sore today. It was supposed to be an easy pace recovery type workout, but I felt so good once I got out the door I decided to push it today. I did not know what to expect though until I got started.
I ended up doing a two mile tempo run, and then finished off with three miles of hills to force myself to back off the pace and save something in my legs for a tough track workout tomorrow.
Not a bad way to get in five miles. My legs feel really fresh right now and had good turnover on my four 20 second striders that I finished off with. I’m hoping this carries over to tomorrow.
